Happy Un-Valentine's!

I never believed in Valentine's.
So I'm kinda glad these four 3D cards
didn't get sold last month (yeah yeah I caved, so what),
coz now they can give someone
a really nice un-valentine surprise!

Based on an old design I did...two years ago!! (Whaaa-??)

It has a red inner piece and comes with a blue envelope.

These two are new.

The wings are curled slightly at the edges

to add to the 3D effect.

Super Glue Boo.

One day into business and

the factory line is stuck

thanks to a sticky situation.

Having decided to go pro,

progress called for Super Glue

instead of UHU.

But the result was Boo Hoo! :(

When I checked to see if the glue had dried,

there was a sort of "icing sugar" effect on my beads.

Don't really know what it is - fingerprints, erosion?

All I know is that that's a day's work down the drain.

 And that I'm sticking with UHU.

P/S Googled how to get rid of super glue stains.

Contemplating trying this, but will probably take longer

than actually making new ones!

How to Fill A Heartless Heart.

 Cindy asked me for a heart

 and I made her a heartless one.
 
Oops.
  
So how do you 
fill a heartless heart? 

Words.

Seem a bit empty.

   

Flowers.

Are dead to the heartless.

  

Money.

Fails to fill.

Other hearts.

Less heartless.

But there's still a gap.

  
 

A good cry.

Sometimes that's all a heart needs

to become whole again.

You've Got Mail.

Sending my first Bead Breath parcels last week

allowed me to reacquaint myself

with the beauty of snail mail.

Sealing the envelope - feels so once and for all.

Sticking the stamps on - praying they won't fall off.

Shoving the parcel into the post box -
there, you've lost all control.

And then there's the waiting.

There's something almost romantic about the whole thing.

(Is that why housewives have affairs with the mailman?)

Suddenly e-mails seem really boring.

Is it any wonder how

the faster things get

the faster time flies?

If I've learnt anything from all this,

it's if we all slowed down just a little,

we just might live longer.

  

Pass The Time, Please.

 
Once, I stopped time.

Waiting for my parcels to reach Aneesah and Taka

is like waiting for the loading bar to reach 100%.

Finally, some breathing space!

 Sorry for the delay in the post department.

It's been hard to find time to work on Bead Breath.

  

I finally got around to packing Ele and Octopaul.

Here they are, snug as bugs.

  

I was really paranoid they'd get destroyed in the mail

so I put them in hard plastic boxes,

and padded the insides with

bubble wrap, foam, and tissue.

 

Yes, the ribbons serve a functional purpose too.

They keep the boxes shut tight!

 

I'm just really worried I'll end up sending Ele to Austria

and Octopaul to Canterbury instead!

Fingers crossed I got it right.

I only checked about 1,679 times.
